Why design?

My design journey began unexpectedly at age 12 in my local church. As the "lyrics kid" on the worship team, I was responsible for preparing and displaying lyrics during services. What started as a simple task evolved into a playground for creativity as I experimented with fonts, colors, and animations.

Microsoft PowerPoint became my first design tool, opening my eyes to the world of visual communication. This spark led me to Photoshop, where I created materials for our Sunday school. I fell in love with every aspect of the process—from research and inspiration to design, iteration, and production. Each day brought new lessons and skills.

In college, I ventured into freelance design, creating graphics for TEDx events and annual reports for NGOs. It was during this time that I discovered the realm of web and mobile app design, realizing that every digital interface was crafted by a designer. This epiphany opened up a new world of possibilities.

Driven by this newfound passion, I immersed myself in digital design. Eventually, this journey led me to co-found my own design studio, dedicated to human-centered design. I believe design is vital for society because it shapes our daily experiences and drives innovation. A world without designers would lack the creativity and thoughtfulness that enhances our lives in countless ways.
