This social media campaign was supported and initiated by Zorig Foundation. Zorig Foundation has been at the forefront of youth engagement in Mongolia and has experience in implementing innovative education and youth development programs. Zorig Foundation wanted to scale up its activities through a social media campaign for youth that supports youth employment. So we have partnered on that initiative. Mongolia has a young population with 30% of youth aged between 15 and 34. Income generation and gainful employment is one of the major challenges youth are facing with the youth unemployment rate at nearly 21% (15-24 years, 2016). For thousands of Mongolian youth, the education-to-employment journey is challenging. Youth unemployment is a complex issue with many converging factors such as individual levels, market or systemic failure, or a weak or unsupportive macro-economic environment.
