Details

Led the creative direction and design of the official emblem for the inaugural East Asian Youth Games 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The challenge was to create a visual identity that would unite nine participating nations while honoring Mongolia's cultural heritage. The solution centered around the Toono - the crown of the traditional Mongolian Ger (yurt) - as the primary design element, symbolizing unity and collaboration. The comprehensive brand system included a dynamic five-color palette, bilingual typography supporting both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, and extensive applications across digital and physical platforms. The resulting identity successfully bridged traditional Mongolian symbolism with contemporary sports design, establishing a strong visual foundation for this historic multi-national youth sporting event.
