Building on our initial success, we designed and directed the creation of 163 pieces of diverse content including memes, infographics, and the "Шийдэл Өглөө" series highlighting community champions, which contributed to establishing Ugloo as Mongolia's premier nonpartisan platform for youth political engagement during the local elections.

Details

Ugloo was a transformative nonpartisan media initiative that evolved across three critical election cycles in Mongolia, fundamentally reshaping youth political engagement. What began as a targeted campaign for the 2020 Parliamentary election grew into a comprehensive platform through the 2020 Local election and 2021 Presidential election. Our team developed a distinctive visual identity and multimedia content strategy that made politics accessible and compelling for young Mongolians. Through innovative design, strategic social media campaigns, and educational resources, Ugloo connected thousands of citizens throughout the country to explore news, ideas, and democratic participation. This independent, nonprofit media organization was founded on the mission to create more informed citizens and promote active political involvement among Mongolia's youth, helping them understand what it means to live with dignity in a democratic society. The name "Ugloo"—meaning both "morning" and "gave" in Mongolian—perfectly captured our vision of creating a brighter future through informed civic action, ultimately increasing youth voter turnout by 12.5% and establishing a sustainable platform for ongoing democratic engagement.
